Tajik President Emomali Rahmon has sent congratulatory messages to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the signing of a joint Declaration aimed at resolving the conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

“We welcome this historic event and emphasize the importance of peaceful dialogue as the sole means of resolving crises and conflicts. We are confident that these agreements will lay the foundation for fostering good-neighborly relations and partnership between the two countries, while also contributing to greater stability and security in the Caucasus and promoting constructive interregional cooperation,” the message says, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.

The Declaration was signed on August 8 in Washington during a meeting between the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and the US, establishing a framework for the future signing and ratification of a peace treaty.
