During a meeting on the sidelines of the CIS Heads of State Council session, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan have held talks aimed at revitalizing the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
The sides concentrated on strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing economic collaboration between Tajikistan and Armenia, The Caspian Post informs via the Tajik presidential website.
They highlighted that the existing legal and contractual frameworks encompass crucial sectors and offer a strong basis for unlocking the full potential of cooperation in mutually beneficial areas.
The discussion prioritized expanding collaboration in trade, investment, green energy, and industrial sectors, including fostering industrial cooperation. Both sides agreed on the importance of intensifying the Intergovernmental Commission’s efforts to promote economic partnership.
Additional topics covered included boosting trade turnover, leveraging opportunities to grow mutual trade, and organizing trade forums to facilitate business engagement. The sides also stressed the significance of advancing interparliamentary dialogue between their countries.
Furthermore, President Rahmon and Prime Minister Pashinyan exchanged views on cooperation within international and regional organizations, including the United Nations, aiming to deepen their countries' engagement on the global stage.
