Head of the Tajik Communications Service, Isfandiyor Sa’dullo, has met with Iran’s Minister of Information Technology and Communications, Sattar Hashemi, to discuss the possible import of bulk internet traffic from Iran to Tajikistan.

The talks took place on the sidelines of the World Telecommunication Development Conference in Baku, The Caspian Post informs via Tajik media.

According to Tajikistan’s Communications Service, the sides explored cooperation in international roaming, internet traffic imports, cybersecurity expertise exchange, and training specialists for the ICT sector. Both delegations expressed readiness to deepen collaboration in telecommunications, digital technologies, and cybersecurity - though it remains unclear whether any concrete agreements were reached.
