Tajikistan is set to make history by introducing the world’s first AI-powered browser for government use.
The agreement was signed between Perplexity AI, Epsilon3.ai, and the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan, The Caspian Post reports via Tajik media.
The announcement came during AI CONF 2025 in Dushanbe, one of the region’s largest artificial intelligence conferences, where 20 agreements totaling over $117 million were signed.
The Comet AI Browser is designed specifically for the public sector. It will replace manual data searches and analysis, enabling government officials to receive verified analytics and real-time recommendations, accelerating decision-making and increasing transparency.
“This collaboration is building a sovereign AI ecosystem in the region,” said Najima Noyoftova, co-founder of Epsilon3.ai. “By combining Perplexity’s advanced technology with our expertise in government AI systems, we are setting a new standard for responsible AI innovation in Central Asia.”
Comet is an intelligent assistant that understands queries, analyzes sources, and generates conclusions. It helps officials:
Collect and analyze data
Conduct industry research
Prepare regulatory documents
Monitor procurement and economic indicators
All tasks can now be automated, reducing human workload while improving accuracy.
The pilot phase begins in fall 2025, training 140 ministry employees to use the system. If successful, the program will expand in 2026 to other government agencies and eventually to Central Asia-wide adoption.
Comet is a key component of Project AI-GOV, a digital ecosystem for data-driven governance, which includes:
ijozatnoma.tj - AI-powered licensing system
SoroLLM - Tajik language model trained on national and open-source data
Comet AI Browser - Intelligent AI browser by Perplexity AI for real-time information automation
The initiative, led by Tajik startup Epsilon3.ai, is currently active in six international markets, promoting responsible AI adoption in government and national enterprises.
