Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev has announced that Russia is set to boost its supplies of food products and mineral fertilizers to Turkmenistan.
Patrushev made these remarks during a meeting with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
During their talks, Patrushev underscored Russia’s willingness to expand cooperation across various sectors, including ecology, geology, mineral resource development, and environmental protection. Both leaders confirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.
Recent reports indicate that trade turnover between Russia and Turkmenistan has increased by nearly one-third in 2025, reflecting growing economic engagement.
Patrushev is in Turkmenistan to attend the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, signaling Russia’s continued interest in fostering regional cooperation.
