Turkmenistan recorded a strong increase in agricultural production in the first half of 2026, with grain output rising by 11.6% compared to the same period last year.
The country also reported higher production across several key agricultural products. Vegetable output climbed 12.8%, while melon and gourd production increased 3.3%. Potato harvests grew 4.2%, and milk production edged up 0.3%, The Caspian Post reports via Kazinform.
The latest figures highlight Turkmenistan's ongoing efforts to strengthen food security, expand domestic agricultural production, and improve the efficiency of its farming sector. Rising harvests are also expected to support stronger supply chains and create new opportunities for agricultural exports.
Earlier, Kazakhstan reported exporting 13.1 million tons of grain and flour (in grain equivalent) during the first ten months of the current marketing season.
