Yazmyrat Seryaev, Turkmenistan’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Republic of Ireland (resident in London), has visited Dublin this week for a series of meetings with officials from Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Ambassador Seryaev presented copies of his credentials to Ralph Victor, Deputy Head of the Protocol Division at Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.
The Irish officials congratulated him on his appointment and pledged full support for his mission, emphasizing the mutual interest in fostering friendly bilateral relations.
The following day, Ambassador Seryaev met with Fiona Nic Dhonnacha, Deputy Director for Political Affairs at Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Colm Hayes, Director General of Global Ireland and Economic Division at Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Discussions focused on key areas for enhanced cooperation, including political dialogue, trade and economic collaboration, and emerging sectors such as renewable energy and education. The meetings also explored avenues for Turkmenistan-Ireland collaboration within international organizations.
During the talks, Ambassador Seryaev highlighted Turkmenistan’s peaceful foreign policy and ongoing economic development achievements. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral partnership and elevating relations to a higher level.
