Turkmenistan, Georgia Eye New Chapter in Political and Economic Relations

During his official visit to Georgia, Turkmenistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov has met with Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation, enhancing political dialogue, and expanding economic and cultural ties.

President Kavelashvili received warm greetings from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, with both sides emphasizing the value of regular high-level exchanges, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

Georgia praised Turkmenistan’s policy of neutrality, calling it a vital contribution to global peace and widely supported by the international community.

Meredov’s meeting with Kobakhidze highlighted growing cooperation in trade, diplomacy, and humanitarian fields, as well as shared success in multilateral platforms like the UN.

The prime minister recalled his productive visits to Turkmenistan earlier this year, noting their impact on strengthening strategic ties.
