Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a decree approving the National Program for the Prevention of the Harmful Effects of Alcohol for 2025-2028, alongside an extensive action plan to implement the initiative across the country.
The program is designed to improve the spiritual and physical health of the population, enhance overall public health, boost citizens’ well-being, and extend life expectancy, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkmen media.
It sets forth coordinated and effective measures aimed at addressing alcohol-related harm nationwide.
Implementation responsibilities have been delegated to relevant ministries, government agencies, and local administrations, including those of the provinces and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, underscoring the program’s comprehensive and all-encompassing reach.
