A Turkmen delegation led by M. Pirliyeva, Head of the Department of Preschool Education at the Ministry of Education, has visited Moldova to exchange experience in child protection, family support, and the development of social services.
The visit was organized by UNICEF as part of efforts to enhance collaboration in social policy and child welfare, The Caspian Post informs via Turkmen media.
The delegation - which included representatives from the parliament of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, and the General Prosecutor’s Office - focused on learning about Moldova’s successful transition to family-based care, a reform ensuring that every child grows up in a family environment rather than in specialized institutions.
Participants studied Moldova’s best practices in shifting from institutional care to community and family-based services, emphasizing comprehensive family support and early intervention programs.
During the visit, the Turkmen officials held meetings with Moldova’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, local authorities, and public organizations, exploring opportunities for future cooperation and knowledge exchange in social service development.
