Turkmenistan Sends Students to South Korea to Boost Language Skills and Professional Growth

As part of the ongoing cooperation between Turkmenistan and South Korea, a group of students from the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi has departed for South Korea to participate in a year-long study program.

The students will study Korean and English at Kangwon National University till July 25, 2026, under a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

The program aims to enhance language skills and provide practical experience that the students can later apply in Turkmenistan’s educational system.

Turkmenistan and South Korea maintain a strong partnership built on friendship and mutual trust, actively engaging not only bilaterally but also through multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations and the Central Asia - Republic of Korea regional initiative. Their cooperation spans sectors including science, education, energy, transport, ecology, healthcare, and culture, reflecting the strategic importance of this partnership.

The initiative is part of Turkmenistan’s broader efforts to strengthen educational ties, promote international collaboration, and prepare future professionals with the skills and experience needed to contribute to the country’s development.
