Turkmenistan, US Firm Expand Cultural and Educational Ties

Turkmenistan and a leading US consulting firm have discussed expanding cooperation in cultural, educational, and humanitarian fields during a meeting.

According to official sources, Turkmen Deputy Foreign Minister Myakhri Byashimova met with Kurt Edwards, founder and president of the consulting company FIT International, The Caspian Post reports via the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

At the start of the talks, Edwards congratulated the Turkmen side and expressed appreciation for the traditional invitation to take part in events marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. He also highlighted the importance and strong outcomes of the high-level International Forum held in Ashgabat.

The two sides noted their many years of positive cooperation with FIT International, which has been involved in organizing thematic events linked to major milestones in Turkmenistan’s history.

Special attention was given to plans for joint cultural and educational initiatives scheduled for 2026 in celebration of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on organizing a presentation in the US-together with the Embassy of Turkmenistan-of the book by the President of Turkmenistan, “Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygy - parahatçylygyň we ynanyşmagyň aýdyň ýoly” (“Turkmenistan’s Neutrality: A Clear Path to Peace and Trust”).

In addition, the sides discussed strengthening humanitarian cooperation, with a focus on building partnerships between the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assisting Children in Need of Care and relevant organizations in the US.
