Young Turkmen Musicians Take Center Stage at Georgia’s Tsinandali Festival

The seventh Tsinandali Festival of Classical Music has officially opened in Georgia, showcasing the talents of young musicians from the Maya Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory.

Since its launch in 2019, the festival has been held annually at the historic Tsinandali Estate in the Kakheti region, The Caspian Post reports via Turkmen media.

It has grown into a prestigious cultural platform at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, drawing world-renowned musicians, orchestras, and soloists.

This year’s program includes the Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra, which unites rising talents from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Ukraine, and Turkmenistan. The initiative gives young musicians the opportunity to collaborate with acclaimed conductors, educators, and soloists, fostering cultural exchange and dialogue through music.

Alongside orchestral performances, the festival will host solo recitals and chamber concerts featuring leading international musicians. Special attention will be given to Turkmenistan’s musical heritage: on September 9, works by acclaimed Turkmen composer Nurmammet Halmammedov will be performed, while September 13 will be fully dedicated to the nation’s traditional and classical music.

As part of his cultural mission, Turkmen Ambassador to Georgia, Dovletmyrat Seyitmammedov, held meetings with Georgian Minister of Culture Tinatine Rukhadze and festival organizers. He expressed confidence that the event would help deepen bilateral cultural ties.

“Musical art plays an important role as a unifying force in international cooperation, fostering trust, mutual understanding, and friendship among nations,” the ambassador noted while addressing Turkmen musicians.

The festival will run until September 14, offering audiences an unforgettable celebration of classical music and cultural diversity.
