Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan Strengthen Anti-Doping Cooperation with New Agreement

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have taken a significant step toward strengthening clean sport initiatives by signing a new cooperation memorandum between their national anti-doping agencies.

The agreement was signed by Tahmina Taghi-zada, Chief Executive Officer of the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA), and Abdushukur Sadikov, Director of Uzbekistan's National Anti-Doping Agency (UzNADA), The Caspian Post reports via Azertac.

The memorandum lays the foundation for closer collaboration in anti-doping education, doping control procedures, therapeutic use exemptions (TUEs), athlete biological passports, results management, and scientific research.

The two agencies will also cooperate on the use of the ADAMS anti-doping management system and coordinate efforts during international sporting events.

Beyond operational cooperation, the agreement emphasizes knowledge exchange and professional development. Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan plan to organize joint training programs, share methodological resources, and strengthen cooperation in educational and informational initiatives.

By combining expertise and resources, the two nations aim to enhance the effectiveness of anti-doping programs, support athletes, and reinforce the integrity of sport across the region.
