Azerbaijani Media Explore IT Park Uzbekistan Branch in Urgench

On the fourth day of the press tour in Uzbekistan, Azerbaijani journalists have visited the IT Park Uzbekistan branch located in Urgench, Khorezm region.

The Urgench branch houses an Incubation Center, established under the Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT). Opened in 2021, the center provides a platform to support startups and emerging entrepreneurs in the IT sector, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

Further expanding the city’s digital infrastructure, on February 16, 2022, IT Park Uzbekistan helped launch an IT Center, IT Technical School, and a new incubation center in Urgench. These institutions aim to promote digital education and IT initiatives, offering young specialists training in programming, web development, and cybersecurity, along with opportunities to develop and implement their own projects.

During the visit, Azerbaijani journalists toured the center’s facilities and learned about educational and innovation programs currently active in the region.

The Urgench IT Park branch is part of a national network of technology parks, connecting innovation hubs across all regions of Uzbekistan.
