An international seminar and presentation dedicated to the 138th China Import and Export Fair-widely known as the Canton Fair-was held in Tashkent, signaling Uzbekistan’s growing interest in expanding trade with China through global platforms.
The event was organized with the participation of Dilshod Rasulov, Deputy Chairman of the Uzbek Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and attended by a wide range of business leaders, government officials, industry associations, and foreign diplomats, The Caspian Post reports per Uzbek media.
In his opening address, Rasulov emphasized the strong momentum in Uzbekistan-China trade relations, describing the Canton Fair as a key gateway for Uzbek exporters to enter the vast and dynamic Chinese market. He encouraged domestic entrepreneurs to actively explore this opportunity.
The featured speaker, Liu Xiaoming, provided an in-depth presentation on the Canton Fair’s legacy, evolving structure, and current hybrid participation model, which combines in-person and digital exhibition formats. He also detailed the registration process and extended an official invitation to Uzbek companies, noting the support measures and special access terms designed for foreign participants.
The seminar offered a platform for Uzbek and Chinese business stakeholders to exchange ideas on trade development, explore market integration strategies, and identify areas for potential collaboration, including joint ventures and export initiatives.
