Chinese Company Plans Renewable Energy Expansion in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan is exploring major “green” energy initiatives with China’s Soltenia Technology Introduction (STI), following a meeting at the Uzbek General Consulate with STI Vice President Hao Jui.

The discussion focused on developing renewable energy projects and creating high-efficiency energy storage systems in Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

STI specializes in solar thermal energy and molten salt heat storage technologies, offering end-to-end solutions including research, design, production, sales, and operation of green energy products.

A key highlight for the delegation was a $75 million project to build an integrated solar and photovoltaic energy system for an industrial park in the Bukhara Region. In addition, STI is considering projects to provide solar energy to industrial enterprises and other facilities across the country.

To address organizational and operational matters, the STI delegation led by Hao Jui plans to visit Uzbekistan in early April and has requested support in arranging meetings with regional leadership and relevant authorities.
