Uzbek Leader to Visit Tajikistan for Official Meetings and Summits

At the invitation of Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official working visit to Tajikistan on October 9-10.

During the visit, President Mirziyoyev will participate in two key international forums taking place in Dushanbe: the Second “Central Asia-Russia” Summit and the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

The high-level gatherings are expected to focus on expanding regional cooperation across a broad spectrum of areas, including political dialogue, trade, investment, industry, agriculture, transport, energy, and infrastructure.

In addition to economic and strategic topics, the leaders will also address regional security challenges and explore deeper collaboration in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The meetings are anticipated to conclude with the signing of several agreements and joint documents aimed at reinforcing practical cooperation among the participating states and further integrating the region economically and politically.
