Uzbekistan and Türkiye Leaders Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership

On July 24, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan held a telephone conversation with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Türkiye.

The Leader of Türkiye extended birthday congratulations to the President of Uzbekistan, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being, and great success, as well as peace and progress to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports citing Uzbek media.

The discussion focused on further development of a comprehensive strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.

The current highest level of interstate cooperation was noted with particular satisfaction. Fruitful contacts continue at various levels, with growing figures in trade turnover, freight volume, and investment. The number of joint ventures and the frequency of air flights are increasing, and cultural and humanitarian events are being held.

During the telephone conversation, the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Türkiye placed special emphasis on the thorough preparation of the upcoming regular session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council.

Views were also exchanged on current regional issues.
