Uzbekistan and Austria are moving to strengthen economic cooperation following a high-level meeting between Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments and Industry Laziz Kudratov and Austria’s Federal Deputy Minister of Finance Andreas Reichhardt.
Both sides praised the steady growth of the Uzbekistan-Austria relations and voiced interest in expanding collaboration across industry, energy, infrastructure, and technology. Officials noted that Austrian companies are increasingly active in Uzbekistan, taking part in several promising projects, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
During the talks, the delegations discussed new opportunities to deepen cooperation between ministries and agencies, promote joint initiatives, and unlock fresh prospects in priority sectors. The Austrian delegation’s visit made it possible to examine concrete areas for future partnership in detail.
The meeting also covered preparations for upcoming bilateral events - including a business forum in Vienna and the next session of the Intergovernmental Commission - both expected to give a significant boost to practical cooperation between the two countries.
