Chairman of the Committee on Judicial, Legal, and Anti-Corruption Issues of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis (parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulkhakim Eshmuratov has met with a delegation led by Carsten Müller, Chairman of the Bundestag Committee on Legal Affairs and Consumer Protection, to discuss deepening interparliamentary relations and expanding cooperation in building a rule-of-law state.
During the meeting, Uzbekistan shared details of its comprehensive reforms in the judicial system, anti-corruption measures, and human rights protection, highlighting efforts to create a fair judicial system, strengthen citizens’ legal protections, enhance public oversight, and align legislation with international standards, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Müller praised Uzbekistan’s reforms, noting their systematic approach and transparency, and shared insights into Germany’s legislative initiatives in law and consumer protection.
The two sides expressed commitment to further develop interparliamentary dialogue, strengthen committee cooperation, and exchange expertise in lawmaking.
