The Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan has completed the development of a new artificial intelligence-based virtual assistant designed to enhance the protection of consumer rights.
Kazakh Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev made the announcement during a recent government meeting, stating that the assistant-created under the framework of the country’s Artificial Intelligence Development Concept-has entered its testing phase, The Caspian Post reports per Kazakh media.
“In line with the national strategy for AI advancement, we have completed the development stage of a virtual assistant focused on consumer protection. The system is now undergoing testing,” Shakkaliyev said.
The consumer protection assistant is one of several AI-driven tools currently under development by the ministry. Other digital innovations include:
A virtual assistant for navigating Kazakhstan’s national standards library;
A virtual assistant to help users identify suitable laboratory testing facilities;
A trade flow analysis module to support market monitoring and planning.
These initiatives are part of Kazakhstan’s broader efforts to modernize public services and improve regulatory efficiency through digital transformation. The Artificial Intelligence Development Concept for 2024-2029, adopted earlier this year, outlines a strategic roadmap for integrating AI across various sectors, including trade, industry, and public administration.
