Uzbekistan, Japan Deepen Economic Partnership With New Investment Agreements

Uzbekistan and Japan are expanding their economic cooperation following a series of high-level meetings in Tokyo aimed at attracting investment and launching new joint projects.

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, visited the Japanese capital for talks focused on strengthening bilateral ties and advancing strategic economic cooperation, The Caspian Post reports via the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the visit, Kudratov met with Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ryosei Akazawa. The two sides discussed concrete measures to boost trade, increase investment flows and deepen long-term economic collaboration between the two countries.

The Uzbek delegation also held negotiations with executives from major Japanese companies. As a result, agreements were reached on the implementation of joint projects across several key sectors, including energy, finance, banking, microfinance and logistics.
