Uzbekistan Launches “Healthy Start. Healthy Kids” Challenge to Boost Family Wellness

From September 22 to October 31, Uzbekistan is hosting the “Healthy Start. Healthy Kids” online challenge, a nationwide initiative aimed at encouraging healthy habits among schoolchildren and their families.

The campaign promotes improved nutrition, regular physical activity, and greater environmental responsibility through interactive and family-friendly activities, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

Organized as part of the Health Routes educational program - which reaches over 12,000 children annually across the country - the challenge seeks to raise awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle from an early age.

Four-Stage Format Encourages Active Participation

Participants are invited to complete tasks in one or more of the following four categories:

Fruit Breakfast

Hero Breakfast

Moving Together!

Green Heroes

Each stage lasts ten days, and families may join the challenge at any time during the campaign. To take part, participants simply complete the activities and upload photographic evidence to the program’s official website.

Those who finish all four categories will be entered into a draw for the grand prize. Additional awards will be given for outstanding participation, including the “Audience Choice” for the most popular submission and “Super Class” for the most engaged school group.

Promoting Environmental Awareness

Beyond physical health, the initiative places strong emphasis on environmental education. The Green Heroes category encourages children and parents to adopt eco-conscious behaviors, such as waste sorting, energy and water conservation, and using reusable items in daily life.

Participants are also encouraged to share photos and videos of their activities on social media using the hashtag #ChallengeNestlé, increasing their visibility and chances of winning additional prizes.

A Regional Effort

In a show of cross-border collaboration, the challenge is being held simultaneously in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, uniting families and schools from both countries in a shared mission to promote healthier, more sustainable living.

The “Healthy Start. Healthy Kids” challenge represents a significant step forward in fostering lifelong wellness habits among children, while also encouraging meaningful family involvement and environmental stewardship.
