Uzbekistan, Mitsubishi Corporation Forge Ahead on Energy Projects and New Partnerships

A high-level meeting between Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Ilzat Kasimov and Mitsubishi Corporation CEO Juro Baba’s delegation at Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade has focused on accelerating ongoing energy projects and exploring new public-private partnership ventures.

Founded in 1954 and headquartered in Tokyo, Mitsubishi Corporation is a major Japanese multinational conglomerate with operations across energy, industry, engineering, chemicals, mining, and food and consumer goods sectors, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

In 2024, Mitsubishi reported a net profit of $6.9 billion, a capital stock of $1.4 billion, and employs over 62,000 people worldwide.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and expanding investment projects in Uzbekistan’s energy and industrial fields.
