Uzbekistan Plans Bigger Presence at China’s Canton Fair, Seeks New Markets and Partnerships

Dilshod Rasulov, Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has met with a delegation from the Canton Fair to discuss boosting Uzbekistan’s participation, expanding access to global markets, and forging direct business ties with Chinese partners.

The Canton Fair, held twice a year in Guangzhou since 1957, stands as one of the world’s premier trade platforms, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

It brings together over 25,000 companies representing more than 50 industries and attracts participants from over 200 countries and regions worldwide.

During the meeting, Liu Xiaomin, Director General of Exhibition and Fair Activities at the China Foreign Trade Centre Group, presented new opportunities available to Uzbek entrepreneurs.

Both sides agreed to strengthen the participation of Uzbek businesses in the Canton Fair and to organize joint business forums and B2B meetings aimed at fostering closer trade relations.
