Uzbekistan’s Outbound Tourism Hits New Highs in 2025

Uzbekistan has recorded a significant surge in outbound travel, with over 5.2 million citizens venturing abroad between January and August 2025.

This marks a 26.8 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024-an additional 1.1 million international trips, reflecting rising mobility and interest in foreign destinations among the Uzbek population, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

The Top 10 most visited countries by Uzbek citizens during this period were:

Kyrgyz Republic - 2.3 million visits

Kazakhstan - 956,000

Tajikistan - 887,900

Russia - 312,700

Türkiye - 181,700

Saudi Arabia - 165,700

United Arab Emirates - 94,200

Egypt - 45,400

Vietnam - 28,500

China - 27,600

In addition, Uzbek citizens made 162,400 trips to various other countries, indicating broadening travel trends beyond traditional destinations.

In a related development, Kazakhstan-one of the top destinations for Uzbek travelers-reported welcoming 7.5 million foreign tourists in the first half of 2025, pointing to a broader revival in regional tourism across Central Asia.
