Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia Explore New Agri-Business Partnerships

Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia have outlined new avenues for collaboration in agriculture.

Alisher Shukurov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, met with a Saudi delegation led by Abdullah Al-Muhaidib, Investment Director at Al Muhaidib Group, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

During the talks, both sides discussed strengthening bilateral ties and launching mutually beneficial projects in the agribusiness sector. Key points included expanding Saudi company participation in Uzbekistan’s agriculture, introducing modern irrigation technologies, producing livestock feed, and developing oil and fat products.

Preliminary agreements were reached on the development and implementation of new investment initiatives. The meeting concluded with a commitment to further coordinate cooperation and prepare concrete projects, signaling the start of a new chapter in economic ties between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.
