Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov has officially received the credentials of Fathudin Ali Mohamed, the first Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their readiness to strengthen cooperation across a wide range of promising areas, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
“We wish the ambassador great success in his diplomatic mission and are committed to developing a productive, results-oriented partnership,” Saidov noted.
The ceremony marks a new chapter in Uzbekistan-Somalia relations, paving the way for deeper political, economic, and cultural cooperation.
Earlier, on February 5 in New York, the two countries signed a Joint Communiqué establishing diplomatic relations-laying the foundation for today’s milestone.
