Uzbekistan Sees Diplomatic Transition as Tajik Ambassador Concludes Mission

Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov has received Tajik Ambassador Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda as he concluded his diplomatic mission in Tashkent.

The meeting coincided with the appointment of Tajikistan’s new ambassador to Uzbekistan by President Emomali Rahmon - Nasredin Ismatullo, the former First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, will take over the post, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

Saidov emphasized that the alliances of friendship, cooperation, and good-neighborly relations between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan are strengthening with unprecedented momentum across all areas. He also wished the departing ambassador success in his future endeavors.

Rahmonzoda had led Tajikistan’s diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan since May 2021, playing a key role in fostering bilateral ties between the two neighboring countries.
