Armenia Examines UAE's Solar Energy Storage Experience

Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, David Khudatyan, discussed various energy-related issues with UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Suhail Al Mazrouei, in Abu Dhabi.

According to the ministry's press service, the UAE minister was briefed on solar energy development trends in Armenia and discussed the UAE's best practices in solar energy storage, The Caspian Post reports citing Armenian media.

Potential cooperation in the water sector was also discussed.

Solar power plants in Armenia generated 927.2 million kWh of electricity in the first seven months of 2025, an increase of 70.3% compared to the same period in 2024. Solar energy accounts for 16.7% of total energy generation.
