Armenia Ratifies Migration Cooperation Agreement with Kazakhstan

At a regular meeting on Wednesday, the Armenian government ratified the agreement on cooperation in the field of migration between the governments of Armenia and Kazakhstan.

The agreement, signed on April 15, 2024 in Yerevan, provides for cooperation between the parties in the field of migration (including the protection of the rights of citizens of one party located in the territory of the other party), including in the field of information interaction, The Caspian Post reports citing Armenian media.

It provides for the exchange of statistical, legal and scientific-methodical information, information on citizens of the parties located in the territories of the contracting states, the exchange of experience and the provision of practical assistance in resolving issues arising in the process of cooperation, the protection of the rights of citizens of the contracting parties, including their family members, to reside during the validity period of the residence permit and the discussion of issues related to the legal status of persons who have grounds for residing in the territories of the parties.

The specified provisions will be implemented in accordance with the national legislation of the parties and their international obligations.
