The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has stated that the OSCE Ministerial Council has officially decided to terminate the activities of the OSCE Minsk Process and its related structures.
According to the decision, the activities of the Minsk Process have been formally discontinued as of September 1, following a joint appeal by the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia to the OSCE Chair-in-Office, The Caspian Post reports via the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
As part of the resolution, the mandate of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office’s Personal Representative on the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, as well as the High-Level Planning Group, has also been abolished. The OSCE Secretariat has been instructed to complete all organizational and technical procedures related to the closure of these structures no later than December 1, 2025.
The decision further declares all previous OSCE resolutions regarding the former Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict null and void.
The Foreign Ministry emphasized that thus, all OSCE participating states have officially acknowledged that the institutions once established to address the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict have become redundant under the new circumstances created after its resolution.
