Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov has said that Russian companies are ramping up large-scale investments in Central Asia, with major joint projects underway in both Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, totaling trillions of rubles.
Speaking at the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia”, Manturov said the Russia-Kazakhstan partnership alone now includes more than 170 joint projects worth around 3.9 trillion rubles, with plans to create over 60,000 jobs, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
Russian enterprises are increasingly integrating into Kazakhstan’s industrial parks and special economic zones, taking advantage of modern infrastructure designed to support high-value production and investment.
In Uzbekistan, more than 3,000 companies with Russian capital are currently operating. Together, they are involved in over 150 investment projects worth approximately 4 trillion rubles.
Manturov emphasized that cooperation is moving toward a new model focused on joint industrial parks, designed to support the production of high-tech goods and strengthen long-term industrial collaboration.
