Azerbaijan and World Bank Discuss Ongoing Projects

Sahil Babayev, Azerbaijan's Minister of Finance, met with Beatrice Maser, the newly appointed Executive Director of the World Bank for the election group.

Minister Sahil Babayev hailed Azerbaijan's cooperation with the World Bank, reiterating the Azerbaijani government's interest in expanding these relations, The Caspian Post reports citing local media.

The minister noted that the projects financed in various fields for many years and the technical assistance provided have made a significant contribution to Azerbaijan's socio-economic development.

The meeting explored the current and the upcoming projects to be implemented between Azerbaijan and the WB.

Sahil Babayev congratulated Beatrice Maser on her new appointment, wishing success in her future endeavors. The minister expressed his confidence that she would play a vital role in expanding the partnership between the WB and Azerbaijan, like the previous executive directors.
