Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan Make Up 50% of Used Car Imports from China

China increased its used car exports by a record 45 percent in 2024, Nikkei Asia reports.

In just one year, China exported 400,000 such cars. The countries of Central Asia and Russia show the greatest interest in Chinese used cars.

According to expert estimates, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan accounted for about 50 percent of all used car deliveries from China.

At the same time, in 2023, China became the leader in the export of new cars, having supplied 4.91 million cars to the world market, increasing exports 1.5 times in a year.

The growth in sales of used Chinese cars from China is associated with the increasing popularity of Chinese cars in general, unique entertainment features, as well as low prices.
