Iran says it has carried out its largest military strike yet against Israel since the current escalation in the Middle East conflict began.
The assault on March 11 reportedly involved waves of missiles and drones lasting more than three hours, The Caspian Post reports via foreign media.
Tehran described the operation as the 37th wave of “Operation True Promise 4,” calling it the most powerful strike so far against enemy positions in the region.
Super-heavy Khorramshahr ballistic missile systems were launched during the attack. The targets included a satellite communications center near Tel Aviv, as well as Israeli military facilities in Haifa and Jerusalem.
US-linked targets were struck, including American military bases in Erbil in Iraq and in Kuwait. These claims have not been independently verified.
Meanwhile, the conflict appears to be widening. Lebanese civil defense officials reported that Israeli aircraft carried out airstrikes in the Aishat Bakar neighborhood of Beirut, raising fears of further escalation.
