Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, Chief of Staff and Coordinating Deputy of the Iranian Army, addressed the level of capability and preparedness of the armed forces on Tuesday, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iranian media.

He highlighted the key role played by young personnel in strengthening the Army’s combat power, emphasizing that the dedicated servicemen form the backbone of the armed forces. Rear Admiral Sayyari noted that the effectiveness of young forces on the battlefield is well documented, citing their historic and distinguished performance during the Sacred Defense as clear evidence.

He added that today’s forces operate with the same spirit, while benefiting from advanced training and modern equipment, enabling them to perform their duties with high efficiency and effectiveness.

Referring to the 12-day imposed war waged by the United States and the Israeli regime against the Iranian nation, and the resistance shown by the armed forces and the people, Sayyari stated that readiness remains constant.

He explained that lessons learned from the 12-day war led to effective measures, including improved maintenance, enhanced skills, and the continuous elevation of preparedness across various sectors.

Concluding his remarks, the Iranian Army official reiterated that the armed forces’ readiness is at a very high level and, given the strong motivation, fighting spirit, firm faith of personnel, and the direct and powerful support of the people, has become an indisputable reality.

On June 13, 2025, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked aggression against Iran while Washington and Tehran were in a process of nuclear negotiations. The Israeli attack triggered a 12-day war that killed at least 1,064 people in the country, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and ordinary civilians.

The United States also entered the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites in a grave violation of international law.

In response, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted strategic sites across the occupied territories as well as the Al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia.

On June 24, Iran, through its successful retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the US, managed to impose a halt to the aggression.
