Kazakh Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov has announced that farmers across Kazakhstan already collected around 700,000 tons of oilseeds, with the total expected to surge to a record-breaking 4 million tons by the end of the harvest season.
Saparov made these remarks at a government meeting, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
The minister also highlighted significant yields in other key crops. To date, farmers have harvested:
1.8 million tons of potatoes
2.9 million tons of vegetables
2.2 million tons of melons and gourds
Saparov attributed the agricultural success to the consistent and efficient work of farmers, backed by a vast and modernized machinery fleet. Currently, the harvest campaign is supported by:
139,000 tractors
31,000 grain harvesters
17,000 reapers
130,000+ additional pieces of agricultural equipment, including over 4,200 advanced combines from John Deere and CLAAS
The progress follows earlier reports from Kazinform on September 18, noting that 12.7 million tons of grain had already been harvested - a testament to the country's strong 2025 agricultural performance.
