Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are taking steps to deepen cooperation in regional logistics by discussing ways to boost cargo traffic along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) - a critical segment of the Middle Corridor connecting China and Europe.
The talks were held between Talgat Aldybergenov, Chairman of Kazakhstan Railways, and the leadership of Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) on the first day of the 12th UIC World Congress on High-Speed Rail in Beijing, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the need to accelerate digitalization and automation across the TITR to simplify logistical operations and reduce transit times. Officials also discussed the integration of national railway information systems, a move expected to significantly enhance the transparency, coordination, and efficiency of cross-border cargo movement.
