Kazakh airlines carried 1.7 million passengers in July 2025, representing a 12.9 per cent increase compared to July 2024.
This is the highest monthly passenger figure recorded in the country since at least 2007, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Passenger turnover also reached a record 3.4 billion passenger-kilometers (pkm), a 6.9 per cent rise from the same month last year.
Between January and July 2025, more than 8.9 million passengers flew with Kazakh carriers, up 7.3 per cent from the same period in 2024. Total passenger turnover for the seven-month period reached 17.6 billion pkm, an 8.9 per cent increase.
The passenger transportation sector generated 113 billion tenge ($208.886 million) in revenue in July, a 15.6 per cent increase in real terms year-on-year.
Earlier reports highlighted Kazakhstan’s plans to launch a national cargo airline, signaling further expansion and modernization of the country’s aviation industry.
