A new Kazakh Cultural Center has officially opened in Brussels, Belgium, aiming to support Kazakh citizens abroad and promote the country’s cultural heritage.
The center will offer Kazakh language classes, creative workshops, traditional music lessons, and cultural programs, providing children and adults a space to reconnect with their roots while preserving national traditions, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.
Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Belgium, Roman Vassilenko, called the center a major boost to cultural cooperation, highlighting its role in supporting the diaspora and helping young generations maintain their language and identity.
The initiative responds to long-standing requests from Kazakh families in Belgium. Project leader Ardak Moldanyazova noted that many children had limited opportunities to learn the language and traditions, making the new center a timely solution for reconnecting with cultural roots.
During the opening, children participated in language lessons, traditional games, music activities, and creative sessions, with special focus on families with adopted Kazakh children to help them understand their heritage.
The Kazakh Cultural Center is expected to become a key hub for Kazakhs in Europe, strengthening cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Belgium.
Notably, Italy is set to open its own cultural center in Astana, further expanding Kazakhstan’s global cultural footprint.
