Kazakh Energy Minister Almassadam Satkaliyev is currently on a working visit to the United States.
Satkaliyev held a meeting in Houston with S&P Global Vice Chairman Daniel Yergin, the press service said, The Caspian Post reports citing Interfax.
The meeting took place ahead of the opening of the international energy conference CERAWeek 2025.
Earlier, his deputy Alibek Zhamauov told reporters that Satkaliyev has scheduled meetings in the U.S. with the heads of shareholder companies operating the Kashagan and Tengiz oil fields regarding production cuts. These companies include Total, ExxonMobil and Shell (SPB: RDS.A), he said.
