Kazakhstan’s electric vehicle industry has scored a major export breakthrough as Falcon EuroBus secured a deal to supply 600 electric buses to Pakistan, with the first batch scheduled for delivery this April.
The $108 million agreement was reached during the Kazakhstan-Pakistan business forum in Islamabad. Falcon EuroBus said the contract could pave the way for expanding exports to up to 2,000 buses in 2027-2028, reflecting rising international demand for Kazakhstan-made electric transport, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
According to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration, interest in domestically produced electric buses is growing not only in neighboring states but also across Europe, highlighting the sector’s export potential.
Chairman of the Board of Directors Murat Adilkhanov said Falcon EuroBus operates a full-cycle production model and described the Islamabad forum as a gateway to a large and promising market. He added that, beyond the passenger buses deal, business-to-business (B2B) talks were held with Pakistan’s Education Ministry, resulting in preliminary agreements to export 2,000 school buses.
A separate commercial agreement in the transport sector is also expected to be signed on the sidelines of the forum.
The business forum is being held as part of the state visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Pakistan.
