Kazakh Goods Enter Retail Network in Romania

Products made in Kazakhstan have officially entered the Romanian retail market for the first time, appearing on shelves at 24 fuel stations operated by KMG International.

The pilot project features goods under the “Made in KZ” brand, including confectionery, tea, and other consumer products, marking a new step in Kazakhstan’s efforts to expand its non-energy exports abroad, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy led by KazMunayGas to promote domestic products in international markets and diversify export channels beyond raw materials.

The project is currently being tested in Romania. If consumer demand proves strong, the product range could be expanded and rolled out across the wider Rompetrol network and potentially other countries in the region.
