Kazakh Leader Welcomes Congolese Counterpart for Strategic Bilateral Discussions

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has held a meeting with President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Félix Tshisekedi at Akorda Palace.

In line with protocol, the Guard of Honour was present in the Ceremonial Hall to welcome the high-profile guest, while the Presidential Orchestra performed the national anthems of both Kazakhstan and the DRC, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The leaders walked along the blue carpet before commencing a narrow-format meeting, marking the start of high-level talks focused on exploring prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation.

Earlier in the day, President Tokayev also received Patrick Mpoyi Luabeya, a special envoy of the DRC President, ahead of the official state visit.
