Kazakh President Hails Trump as Distinguished Statesman During Historic Washington Visit

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has praised US President Donald Trump as a distinguished statesman during his official visit to Washington, calling the C5+1 summit a “new era of cooperation” between Central Asia and the United States.

Highlighting strong economic ties, President Tokayev noted that US investment in Kazakhstan exceeds $100 billion, with trade nearing $5 billion and American companies accounting for critical projects in energy, minerals, AI, and finance, The Caspian Post informs via Kazakh media.

He invited US businesses to explore new opportunities, personally assuring support for joint ventures.

During the visit, Kazakhstan and US firms signed agreements worth over $17 billion, covering sectors from industry to transport, while a Memorandum of Understanding was finalized on cooperation in critical minerals. President Tokayev also met with top US lawmakers and business leaders, including Chevron CEO Michael Wirth, further cementing strategic and economic ties between the nations.
