Kazakh President to Take Part in Antalya Diplomacy Forum

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has confirmed his participation in the upcoming Antalya Diplomacy Forum, underscoring growing strategic ties between Kazakhstan and Türkiye.

The announcement came during a meeting in Astana with Türkiye’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, who is on his first official visit to Kazakhstan, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

Tokayev highlighted that Türkiye remains a key strategic partner, with bilateral relations reaching a new level after nearly 35 years of diplomatic cooperation. He emphasized strong mutual trust and the absence of any disagreements between the two countries.

The Kazakh leader also noted that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan on May 14, during which both sides plan to hold a Strategic Cooperation Council meeting and sign new agreements.

Yılmaz conveyed greetings from Erdoğan and stressed the importance Ankara places on strengthening ties with Kazakhstan, including participation in the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Turkistan.

Both sides welcomed the results of the latest intergovernmental commission meeting, which concluded with a joint action plan aimed at boosting cooperation across trade, energy, infrastructure, agriculture, education, and tourism.

In addition to bilateral issues, the talks covered key international topics, including developments in the Middle East, with Tokayev praising Türkiye’s role in supporting regional stability.
