Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin have held a friendly and trusting phone conversation, initiated by the Russian side, during which Putin provided a detailed update on his recent talks with US President Donald Trump’s special envoy regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
President Tokayev welcomed the preliminary agreements reached and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s consistent stance advocating for a peaceful resolution to end the hostilities, The Caspian Post reports per Kazakh media.
In addition to the international issue, the two leaders discussed various matters on the bilateral agenda. President Tokayev underscored the significance of his forthcoming state visit to Moscow in November, which is expected to further deepen the multifaceted cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia within the framework of their strategic partnership and alliance.
