Kazakhstan and Cyprus Eager to Enhance Mutually Beneficial Cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, met with the Ambassador of Cyprus to Kazakhstan, Petros Nacouzis, to mark the beginning of Nacouzis' diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan, according to the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting highlighted key aspects of the Kazakh-Cypriot cooperation across political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian domains, The Caspian Post reports citing Kazinform. The parties also reviewed progress in implementing agreements previously reached between the foreign ministers of the two states.

The significance of establishment of the two countries' diplomatic missions in Astana and Nicosia was emphasized. A common opinion was expressed that this step would contribute to the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation across the entire spectrum of relations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Nurtleu extended his best wishes to Ambassador Nacouzis for his successful mission in Kazakhstan.

Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan had appointed ambassadors to Greece and Cyprus.
